Moving to the NPA

There has been seismic change in the payments sector in recent times, not just for payments providers but for corporates, banks and market infrastructures alike. Large payments transformations such as the Bank of England’s modernisation of the real time gross settlement service, the Nordic region's P27 and now Pay.UK’s New Payments Architecture (NPA) are paving the way for future innovation.

The NPA is being driven by the UK’s Payment Systems Regulator, which has Setout a blueprint to modernise UK payments and make them more secure, by replacing our rather complicated legacy systems and by ensuring that the UK has a more stable and resilient payments infrastructure.
